Bengaluru, August 14, 2017: Today, Gleneagles Global Hospitals hosted the fourth edition of its Gastrointestinal (GI) Masterclass series, an interactive forum for medical professionals and enthusiasts of the field. The theme of this year’s edition was “Difficult decision making in GI practice” with the objective of this seminar being the exploration of the practical problems involved in the gastrointestinal practice.
The key note address for the masterclass was delivered by Professor Dr Mohamed Rela, Chairman & Director, Institute of Liver Diseases and Transplantation, Gleneagles Global Hospitals, India and Dr Samiran Nundy, Head of the Surgical Gastroenterology Department, Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi and founder editor of the National Medical Journal of India. Prof Rela addressed the issue of choosing to resect or transplant in HCC and Dr Nundy spoke on the history of liver transplantation in India.
The Masterclass was divided into six sessions, individually addressing and discussing issues relating to the esophagus and stomach, pancreas, colon and rectum, hepatobiliary system, and the medico legal area.
